I’m a female that just started golfing. I am looking to find a set of clubs and need some help?

I finally gave in and decided to learn how to golf(just today). I want to get my own set of cheaper clubs instead of renting the gross clubs from the course. I have searched all kinds of websites and went to a few golf store and all I find is PINK, BLUE, OR PURPLE clubs! I am looking for a cheap set (under $250) that is black or red. Any ideas? What is the big difference between mens and womens clubs?? Could I get by using mens clubs? Some are even cheaper too! PLEASE Help!!!

When you are first starting out, your best bet is to go to a golf proffesional and have them get you started. If you want really want to learn and enjoy golf, that is the way to go. Good luck hit them straight.

Since you are just starting out….I’d recommend ladies clubs. They are lighter and have the correct length shafts and flex for you. I would not be so color conscious….If you keep at it and progress you will want to buy newer clubs in a while anyway. Check the golf stores and see if they have any used ladies sets….that would probably hit your price range as well

u should try to go to golf smith they will probably have some women’s clubs…. men’s clubs are heavier than women’s. i would prefer women’s clubs but if i u want cheaper clubs u should go for men’s clubs

Well first of all I suggest to go to a local golf coarse and get lessons from a golf pro or go to the driving range and there should be a club pro there as well..That way you will enjoy golf to the full of your athletic potential…

I found a web site that can help you decide on leasing clubs for $25 and that money will be added towards your purchase. You rent them for a week and you return them with less hassle than you think !!!!!! go check it out.. Good Luck..http://pgatour.golfclubdemo.com/

    Hit’em straight.

you can find hundreds of clubs out there because this is a multi billion dollar business now.
I suggest that you find a Golf smith shop near you and go get fitted for a set using the Golf-TEC system You will be fitted for your height, arm lenght, hand size and swing speed.
with this info in hand then you can go out and find a cheap set if you want but at least you will know that you are buying what you need and not something that does not fit you and will cause you to become discouraged and quit.
if i could offer you anything that would help you the most it would be to do it right the first time and you will be a golfer a long time. Wish you the best of luck and Hope that your ball always finds the fairway and your putts find the hole!

Well, congrats. You just started playing one of the greatest sports in the world. And since you just started out I would not buy a new set. I would get a pre owned named-brand set. That way your not out much money.
